We have many reasons to celebrate, even after such a challenging year for this segment. About to celebrate our 40th anniversary, we started last year the operations of our new MDF line, the third one in the state of Santa Catarina, which has nearly doubled our production capacity. It is one of the largest and most sustainable ones in the Americas and covers technologies never seen before in this country. We also opened the Casa Guararapes Caçador showroom, a special place to receive several stakeholders on a visit to our plant.
Also last year, we obtained the PS1 certification through the agency Benchmark, which qualified our structural plywood products according to the requirements of the U.S. building code. Moreover, we completed the product life cycle analysis (LCA) for MDF and Plywood, with aims to obtain the Environmental Product Declaration (from EPD International).

We also had several launches, in line with the main market trends, including decorating patterns with new finishes that perfectly reproduce fabrics, metals, and woods, special formulations against fungi, termites, and moisture, surfaces with anti-scratch and anti-fingerprint technology, and also new thicknesses and sizes for MDF panels. The quality of our products is recognized not only by our own clients, but also by important international awards, thus supporting our growth strategy in Brazil and abroad.
We had other important advances in our ESG journey. We kept consolidating our corporate governance on all its levels; we strengthened the sustainability governance, ensuring higher consistency to our indicators; we completed a review of the risk map and the materiality matrix, which are the foundation for a more effective management of identified points; we invested in the safety and health of our workers, aiming at the ISO 45001 certification, and reinforced education and engagement actions.
